Spirited PSV fight back to earn a 3-2 win over AZ
PSV have recorded a 3-2 win over AZ in a highly entertaining season's opening game on Saturday night, under the watchful eye of Diego Armando Maradona.

Dos Santos unleashed a shot on the edge of the penalty area on 18 minutes. It took a slight deflection off right back Santiago Arias, leaving goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet with no chance: 0-1.
Lozano then decided that enough was enough. The Mexican wriggled his way past his marker and was a constant menace to the AZ defence. He equalised in the 38th minute, cutting into the box on the left before slotting home low at the near post. HT: 1-1.
Phillip Cocu's side took the lead three minutes after the restart. Pereiro rounded Svensson and AZ goalkeeper Marco Bizot fumbled the ball over his own goalline: 2-1.
AZ pushed PSV back deep into their own half in search of an equaliser. Zoet pulled off a string of fine saves to keep his side in the game. Jorrit Hendrix found Pereiro, who had his header saved by Bizot but Marco van Ginkel pounced on the rebound on 76 minutes: 3-1.
Game over? Not really. AZ restored the deficit five minutes later. Van Ginkel pulled down Jahanbakhsh in the box and Wout Weghorst converted the penalty. it set up a nail-biting finish but a resilient PSV side held on for a 3-2 win.
